Sango is an unincorporated area of Clarksville and Montgomery County near Exit 11 off of Interstate 24. Even though it has no clear borders, everyone seems to know where it is.

Sango is a mix of prime farmland and residential development. Once an unincorporated community, it figured prominently in the Black Patch Tobacco Wars and the Night Riders (1906-1911).

Growth has been steady with many new higher end subdivisions being built making it one of the most desirable areas of Clarksville TN real estate.

Sango derives its name from ginseng. Ginseng is a plant with medicinal properties. A slang term for Ginseng was Sane which later became Sang with the O being added later.
